My Experience with my 30yr old Bell & Ross Chronograph
I recently brought my 30-year-old Bell & Ross chronograph to Majestic for a crown repair. The crown was broken, and I hoped for a straightforward fix. Upon arrival, I was told they only accept cash—no credit cards—which in hindsight should have been my first red flag.
The father told me to return in two hours, which I did. Before leaving, I asked if the watch was now fully functional and whether he had set the date. He casually told me, “It’s not working.” I was stunned. I asked why he didn’t contact me before completing the repair, especially since he had my phone number. His response? That this had happened to him "ten times before," and he just fixes what he's asked to—regardless of whether it results in a working watch.
Frankly, the more I thought about it, the more it felt like a money grab. I try to support local businesses, but this left a bad taste. To make matters worse, he then quoted $1,000 to service the watch—despite previously quoting $450 for the exact same service during a prior visit.
Now I’m left questioning what may have happened when he opened the case. I wouldn’t be surprised if further damage was done, given the inconsistent pricing and overall shady behavior.
Lesson learned: I should have read the reviews first.
If you have another option for watch repair, I strongly recommend you go elsewhere.
I will also be posting this on Google & yelp, so others who Google this business are warned in advance.

So wait, by your own admission, you saw all these red flags and sent $25k anyway? And you don't seem to understand how this works. There is no company with an unpronounceable name, and there is no guy named Bob. It's just a bunch of foreign cybercriminals, probably in Nigeria. They have just figured out a slightly more plausible scheme than the "Nigerian prince" story.
And you can complain to the authorities all you want, they won't be able to do anything more than likely. The criminals are in a foreign jurisdiction.
