Mary Alice Glesener Centeno Doesn't Help Us With Issues, Despite Claiming Herself "Reliable" Fairfield California

As a 16 year old student, Centeno was my algebra teacher, and I was being eager for the day with my pencil box. Even if it was a small mistake taking a lot of supplies out, she was escalating the situation by suddenly yelling towards my eardrums. "PUT THAT PENCIL AWAY!" "PUT THE PENCIL AWAY!" "PUT IT AWAY!" "Just put it over there!" I thought it was a joke at first, but the more she honed in on me, the more I became sensitive and shocked at her behavior. I darted back and I was in the verge of tears, none of which I held after a few minutes of feeling shocked. It definitely was a small moment that became bigger because of her immature, irresponsible and unprofessional actions that day. She is not bad at teaching, but her behavior to us was something else, even if she was funny at times.

When I called her out on this in text, she simply told me that she was "teaching us for the greater good". But it seemed ignorant to me, even if she did not want to upset anyone.

Another incident where she never helped with my issue was with the David Long incident. I wanted her to talk to David Long that he harassed me in the bathrooms and see if she could get something out of him. But alas, nothing came off of that.

And when Dennis Waldron, a substitute teacher for her, was making fun of me one day, insulting me even when I was slow on my work due to my confusion, she texted me "don't take it personally, he doesn't mean to be rude, he cares about you". Even though I told her he was being condescending and mean to me! And Waldron continued to be rude and plain grumpy to me all the way until graduation, for no specific reason!

All these feelings I tell her, I tried to tell her that I did not like what happened to me, that I felt quite furious even at their flaws. But they never seem to learn or even understand from them. In general, while I like how she taught, she definitely was not my favorite person to talk to, and I did not feel comfortable around her due to her behavior and unreliable nature.
