We made the grave mistake of trusting Mayflower, Allen's Transfer and Storage in a move from Maine to South Dakota back in June of 2020.

After promising us the world and delivering a horrible move, we never should have given this company our business.

First of all,

1.) They came in a United Van Lines Truck.  Not Mayflower.  The driver,  Mark, was in a big hurry to load our stuff.  Boxes and some furniture was left outside for a long time.  I had to tell them to take better care of our goods.

2.)  The move co-ordinator, Becky, was visited by some Friends.  They even used some of our outdoor furniture to set up a nice Luncheon for them.  When I told them, WHY ARE YOU USING MY FURNITURE,  this Becky looked up at me and said  WE ARE HAVING LUNCH.

I did not know that moving was a Garden Party.

3.)  I know they overcharged me and overweighed my shipment.  The move was very costly.  They could not fit all items in the van.  This Becky said they would ship the remainder of my shipment using some outside carrier named Dominion.

Just to jump ahead, this Dominion was a complete disaster.  Broken items.  The morons they used as as movers failed to bring an appliance dolly to move my expensive washer and dryer.  The idiots dropped and broke the washer.  They only gave me $500.  The adjuster was very rude, insulted and a Queen B---.

By that time, I was was so fustrated and upset.

4.)  When the van arrived at the location we moved to, they again in a big hurry to put furniture and boxes inside.  I did not have a chance to tell them where to put things.

5.) I had a ZERO deductible and the driver was very nasty, rude and insulting.

I noticed that they broken a leg off a cedar chest.  The driver, Mark said  THIS CHEST MUST HAVE BEEN IN WATER.  WE WILL NOT PAY FOR ANYTHING.  IT IS CHEAP JUNK. What a rotten thing to say.  I was upset and told him that you broke it, you pay.

They did not. The whole move was very bad.  They had no regard for my belongings. All I can do is write up this negative review. I strongly suggest that anyone wanting to move, totally view all reviews- good and bad - on any company. If you plan to use Mayflower Allens Moving and Storage in Augusta, Maine., read my review first, then decide.

I, without any doubt, do NOT recommend them at all. If you want to enjoy a good move and have some peace in your life  - LOOK ELSEWHERE.

Thank you,

from one who has been through the ringer.
