McClellan Plaza LLC Terrible Treatment by Landlords and Managers at 1245 McClellan Dr. 90025 SANTA MONICA California

My family lived at 1245 Mcclellan Dr. for several years.  Living in a building with Lisa and Karl Niehaus (the managers) was very difficult from the begining. They did not like when we sent in requests to fix things in our unit, starting at the very begining when we moved into a unit that was  not fully cleaned and not ready for move in.

Here's a list of just a few of the issues I encountered:
-Lisa/Karl Niehaus gave us an eviction notice for completely false and discriminatory reasons.
- In a pre-move-out inspection Niehaus said everything was fine and they didn't expect any charges to our deposit. After we moved out, they kept our deposit.
-Lisa smiled and was friendly when we signed the initial lease, and when she saw us while touring the building to other potential tenants. Outside of those times, we were bullied and received a number of threats from her. 
-Karl Niehaus, who is a tall man, showed up at my door while I was in my pajamas about to go sleep at night and told me to stop sending emails to his wife asking to fix my unit. He scared me. He also apporached my wife at night in the parking garage and made comments that were totally untrue to her and made her feel incredibly unsafe (he is a foot taller than my wife).

Overall, we felt frightened to live there, insecure in our housing situation, and bullied and discriminated against. If you are a women, minority, or have a disability, I would especially recommend against living here.
