I’m sharing my experience with Mercedes-Benz of Miami to warn others about how they handle leases and customers after delivery.
After signing all the paperwork, providing a deposit, and taking delivery of my vehicle, I was told everything was approved and complete. At no point did they mention there were any unresolved financing conditions or any risk that the deal could be canceled after delivery.
The very next day, I started receiving aggressive phone calls from the dealership demanding the immediate return of the vehicle. They offered no real explanation and gave me no chance to resolve whatever they claimed the issue was. Later that day, they followed up with a written cancellation notice, which came out of nowhere and left me completely blindsided.
I immediately sent a formal written request asking for an explanation and copies of any documentation they were relying on to justify the cancellation. They completely ignored my request and never responded.
On Monday, just a few days after delivery, they had the vehicle forcibly towed from my possession, leaving me without transportation and causing serious disruption to my life, my work, and my personal obligations.
After this happened, I carefully reviewed my lease and found that I never signed the section that would have allowed the dealership to cancel the lease after delivery. On top of that, key terms like how long they had to secure financing and any penalties if I didn’t return the car were either left blank or marked “N/A.”
Despite all of this, they took the vehicle back without following proper process or respecting the terms they themselves left incomplete.
I’m sharing my experience because no consumer should ever be treated this way — misled into thinking a deal is done, only to be blindsided, ignored, and have their vehicle taken back with no fair explanation. This dealership took my deposit, handed me the keys, and then tore the entire deal apart without following their own contract or giving me a chance to understand or resolve anything.
This isn’t just bad business — it’s the kind of predatory behavior that leaves trusting customers completely powerless. I hope others see this as a warning to think twice before doing business with Mercedes-Benz of Miami, and I hope their corporate offices, regulators, and the public take notice before more consumers are put through this kind of financial and emotional nightmare.
