We ordered 12 windows and 2 doors from Certainteed / The Roof Center in Alexandria. This was a distributor of Certainteed that is now called M&I windows.
Our windows are defective and are under warranty. We tried to file a claim with M&I windows. They would ship the replacement glass and the customer would have to pay for the shipping and the installation of the glass.
The shipping for each window glass is $40 - that is more than we would pay for the window glass locally here. We already carry the installation fee of the glass on the windows that is $365 and we are refusing to pay for the shipping on top of that.
The windows are under warranty and we would like to have the glass shipped free of charge.
