Millennia Tax Relief - Took my money, failed to perform any tax services, then harmed my credit with an unvalidated debt years later Newport Beach California

I hired Millennia Tax Relief in 2021 to help file several years of back taxes. After the initial onboarding, the company went completely silent. No services were rendered, no updates or responses were provided, and I was ultimately forced to pay another tax firm $800 out of pocket just to meet federal filing deadlines and avoid potential legal consequences.

Due to Millennia’s total nonperformance, I rightfully canceled the service. However, in 2025—years later—I discovered a collections account from Monterey Financial on my credit report tied to this unresolved agreement. This collection has severely damaged my credit and financial standing.

In April 2025, I submitted a formal debt validation request pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA, 15 U.S.C. § 1692g). No legally required documentation was ever provided—no contract, no record of services performed, no itemized invoice. In addition, they are likely violating the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA, 15 U.S.C. § 1681s-2) by continuing to report this debt without properly marking it as “disputed.”

This goes far beyond poor service. It is deceptive, financially damaging, and unlawful. Millennia Tax Relief took my money, failed to deliver any service, and is now actively harming my credit with an unvalidated, unsubstantiated collection account.
