My parents attended a sales pitch at the local Marriott hotel. After the pitch they were given a gift claim certificate promising their choice of a "7 Day Criuse for Two" or a "3 Day Trip w/Air & Hotel for Two". All they had to do was to "Register" for the prize they wanted.
The following statement at the bottom of the registration form was a Big Red Flag !
I understand that I am receiving pricing that is publicly unavailable. I WILL NOT participate in any blogging or online discussion regarding ANY correspondence or interaction between MyGiftRegistration.com, its sponsors (including their employees), or affiliates , unless solicited ONLY by MyGiftRegistration.com &/or affiliates. I understand that I will be liable for any violations of the Privacy Agreement. *
In addition, as I was looking through the very sparse FAQ section of the site, it made reference to "ScratchGiftClaim", which is listed as s scam on a number of sites including this one.
Why doesn't our government shut down ling running scams like this one...
