I called the US Navy Recruiting Station in Lawton, Oklahoma on Thursday February 16th 2023, and spoke to Chief Blackwell about enlisting in the Navy. I told him my age which is 27. He said outstanding and to come to the Navy Recruiting Station at Central Mall the following Monday February 20th at 9:30 and we'll get the ball rolling. So I showed up around 9:30 AM and no one was there! I had to sit on a bench inside the mall and wait about an hour for someone to show up. When someone finally showed up, it wasn't Chief Blackwell! The Chief who did show up was Bryan McCullogh and he said he could help me. I told him I was 27 years old. He said he normally works with high school aged kids and some 19 year olds and that Chief Blackwell works with older people who want to enlist. So I sat there in awkward silence not knowing what to do for about 10 minutes and then Bryan McCullogh said Chief Blackwell would be back later and to go have a snack or two in the mall and check out some of the stores in the mall. So I did. I got something to eat at a Chinese Buffett, and checked out some of clothing stores. I wasted a good hour or two. I went back to the Recruiting Station and Chief Blackwell was in. He apologized that he wasn't there earlier in the morning, and then asked me a few questions. I answered them, he took down my name, address, social security card, asked me if I had any incidents with law enforcement, I said yes. I told him that I had a couple of speeding tickets. He said that I would need to go to my local police department and get a background check. He also told me I needed to stop at my local health clinic and get a copy of my medical records. He said he would start a packet on me and he asked if I had any other questions, and I said no. He said well if I think of any to contact him and he gave me his phone number.

It took about 4 days to gather all of the information that Chief Blackwell requested and so I called him to let him know that I received all of the info and asked if I could meet him at the Navy Recruiting Station. He told me to meet him at the Navy Recruiting Station the following Monday which was February 27th at 9:30 AM. Once again I showed up at that approximate time and no one was there! Once again, Chief McCullogh showed up and I told him I had my packet ready to go. He told me Chief Blackwell would be there later that day and to go check out a movie in the mall to pass the time. So I did. I wasted another two or three hours! After the movie, I walked back to the Navy Recruiting Station and Chief Blackwell was finally there! I told him that I have all of the documents he requested. He looked through it and said Cool, we'll get the packet sent to MEPS and get you a physical and you'll take the ASVAB while at MEPS. I said okay. He said I would need to study the ASVAB and he told me I would need to get a 70 AFQT or higher to get into the Navy! I told him okay, and I was very happy and excited about joining the US Navy!

About three weeks later, I texted Chief Blackwell and asked him when I was going to go to MEPS and I got no response! I called the Navy Recruiting Station and spoke to Chief McCullogh and he said Chief Blackwell did a background check on me and found out I had 2 flags on my driver's license. I tried to explain that I had no idea that I had 2 flags on my driver's license, and he said well I'm sorry, you'll need to get that taken care of first before you can get a security clearance and be accepted into the US Navy! I tried texting Chief Blackwell about the flags and he never responded back! I told him that ghosting is very unprofessional, and got no response! So in my opinion Chief Blackwell acted very unprofessional as did Chief Bryan McCullogh!

So first of all, they're super lazy! No one is ever in the Navy Recruiting Office! They never answer the f**king phone! If you do catch someone there, they give you the run around especially if you're older than 19! They only want minors to join the US Navy which in my opinion is bulls***.
