• Since hurricane Katrina we have worked undercover for various shelters to meticulously document evidence of animal abuse, acquire records, organize photographic timelines, expose fraud, compile a witness list of over 100 people working alongside HSUS/ASPCA/Greater Good Charities/Wings of Rescue to document their financial gain agenda by profiting off euthanizing animals, etc.. 
• We documented shipments of animals sent directly to shelters in the United States that were euthanized and funded by Petco.  You can research and see us on the front cover of USA today.
• These shelters were pre-evacuated before hurricanes so their claim that all pets were inside the shelter before the storm, is false.  We were inside the shelters while pets were being pre-evacuated and witnessed this firsthand. (Shelters including Escambia Animal Services, Bay County Animal Control, Calcasieu Parish Animal Shelter.. to name a few) 
• We have records showing family pets being shipped to various shelters across the United States actually belonged to disaster victims’ families that were still desperately searching for their pets.  These scared pets had only been in the shelter for 1 DAY before being shipped out never to be reunited with their owner and euthanized while the purebreds were sold.
• We have photo evidence of these family pets being shuffled onto conveyor belts, shaking, terrified, crying, and howling, while stacked on top of each other defecating and vomiting inside the cages as they were packed more than one dog per crate. Other pets sat on the tarmac in direct heat with no food or water.
• We have photographic evidence of these family pets being shipped out only HOURS after hurricanes made landfall with NO efforts made to reunite them with their owners!  What is the bottom line YOU SHOULD BE ASKING?? *Profiting off animals disguised as relief efforts* 
• We have the euthanasia records from these “no kill shelters” that were turned over to State and Federal authorities. As well as, records proving fraud and theft.  Arrests were made. 
• Internal records, from Petco’s partners, showed pets infected with disease were shipped across state lines creating outbreaks.
• State and Federal agencies including FEMA, GOHSEP and State Departments are REQUIRED to shelter pets until they can be reunited with their families. 

*This is a method routinely practiced throughout the nation so that HSUS can relieve itself of any fiduciary responsibility. HSUS sends out mass emails to animal shelters with the promise of becoming a shelter partner under the auspices that they "may" be eligible to receive a $5,000 grant. In the interim this is seriously draining to the municipal shelters and has cost municipalities Millions Across the Nation as well as  taxpayer dollars to euthanize and dispose of the animals being dumped on them by the Humane Society of the United States. Keep in mind HSUS has taken in approximately 1 billion dollars in 10 years.  HSUS high kill shelters chosen as HSUS shelter partners. HSUS uses tax-paid shelters as their own dump off for hurricane pets.*. (ALL DOCUMENTED)   Healthy Pets are killed using euthanasia drugs paid for by local tax payers.

• After Hurricane Katrina, the HSUS was under criminal investigation by the Attorney General.  Lead Criminal Investigator and Assistant Attorney General, Susan Crawford, along with investigator Mimi Hunley assisted in the investigation. Attorney General Charli Foti opened up the investigation against the HSUS.
• Attorney General also investigated the HSUS for exploiting hurricane victims pets for financial gain.
• We have a verified list of Kill Shelters & Directors that Falsified Euthanasia Records and profited off killing pets/shelter animals  
• Numerous news reports exposed inhumane conditions of these shelters and holding areas 
• Under investigation by the Department Of Agriculture for importing infected pets and animal welfare violations
• State and Federal Laws were enacted AFTER Hurricane Katrina to protect families pets after being investigated!  U.S. H.R. 3858 - S.B. 607 
• The California State Attorney General revoked the Charter of the HSUS for criminal behavior unbecoming a public charity. HSUS would never be allowed to do business in the state of California again. This action followed a string of fraud and embezzlement investigations by the SEC, and their well known ties to underworld figures such as Antonio Giacalone. Giacalone and his attorney, DeDay LaRene, were convicted for conspiracy and tax evasion and went to prison.

There’s no need to ever ship a pet out of their home state! Thousands of families lost their pets to PETCO shipments. Most of which are Petco clients.
