2 months ago   So, when I originally went to this New Life clinic, I found out that I wouldn't see a real medical doctor - she's a nurse. I explained that they should bill immediately for the appointment since I was changing employers - my insurance was going to end in three weeks (they took four weeks to bill, so insurance would not pay for the visit). Thus, they sent me to a collection agency for hundreds of dollars in payments (because they were so lame and stupid and lazy and took so long, insurance would not pay for my "doctor" visit - I did). That's when I first suspected that they were schmucks. Now, medical procedures (and the quick and accurate filling of prescriptions) is something that I know about. Years ago, I ran the Front Line of the busiest military pharmacy on Earth (3,500-4,000 prescriptions daily - intravenous admixture, TPN, crash carts, in-patient Unit Dose, extemporaneous compounding, Legend Meds, refills, and so on). Anyone who takes maintenance meds for heart problems, cholesterol or diabetes knows that these medications must be taken daily and on a maintenance schedule (without them, you may quickly die of a heart attack, stroke or other adverse effects). On my maintenance meds for diabetes and such, they put an expiration date on the refills. That means I had to refill by September 30th for the fourth quarter this year. Well, the pharmacy just deleted that refill because I didn't come in quick enough (even though I tried to refill before that date, but the pharmacy refused because it was "too early.") I had on hand about a 5 or 6 day "sludge" supply - I notified New Life and it would have taken them 2 minutes to call in a three month supply to fix this issue. The jerk off snippy desk clerk told me that they have 24-48 business hours to respond to this request - called over several days (know why she is mad at the world? She paid $40,000 for a medical office clerk certificate to earn $10,000/year - you'd be pissed off and would take it out on the consumer public too). In a real, actual, and functional business - the people do not go home until the work is done. Well, it's been 5 days already (that was two months ago) and I am now completely out of maintenance meds. If you go here to New Life Medical, you may find out that you have been involuntarily sentenced to death. You may find (due to their service and extreme caring for you) that you'll die quicker and of course, in dealing with them, you may also die broke.
