2014 a complaint was was filed against Chicago Title with New York State Dept. of Financal Services. The complaint was dropped when it was understood there was also another policy with Fidelity National Title.
2015 another complaint was filed with New York State Dept. of Financal Services requesting the falsified business records presented in the 2014 complaint be removed, it also included my Fidelity National Title policy. The business records were from Lawyers Title. The complaint was never addressed.
Wikipedia: The New York State Insurance Dept.(NYSID) was the state agency responsible for supervising and regulating all insurance business in New York State. It was regarded in the industry as one of the most state-of-the-art insurance regulatory agencies. Effective October 3, 2011 Gov. Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature consolidated the New York State Insurance Dept. and New York State Banking Dept. and created the New York State Department of Financial Service.
I received a letter dated July 12, 2016 from Chicago Title making references to the Chicago Title policy and the Fidelity National Title policy and two claim numbers.
No claim has ever been presented to Fidelity National Title or ever will, it includes falsified business records. The two policys will have to be replaced. This is not just about what was presented but who it's been presented to.
The New York State Attorney General's office was sent the complete chain of title in a letter May 9, 2018. Another letter dated December 20, 2023 informing AG's office.
New York State law articles section 175.20, 175.25, 175.10 and 175.35 one count for each policy. The falsified business record, Mr. Brian M. Houston survey dated July 29, 2008.
I don't run the New York State Attorney General's office, if the chain of title was too cumbersome a read I'm sure the department has access to a telephone.
