This website has a coupon of 25% off your first purchase when you sign up for emails. I did this and received my coupon code and ordered $269.94 of pet food which gave me a discount of $67.48. Great deal, however...

The next day I received the following email regarding my order:

Thanks for your recent order - we appreciate your business. Unfortunately, the max value of the coupon is $35. As such your order was cancelled and refunded.  

We encourage you to place order with another promotion or give us a call. We are happy to assist you or provide any clarification and help find a promotion that is suited to your needs. 

We apologize in advance for any problems this may have caused.

I sent Seftan a follow-up email and I've heard nothing back so I'm here now. NOWHERE on the email with the discount code does it state the max value of the coupon is $35 nor does it anywhere on their website as of the writing of this complaint. I just don't appreciate being lied to. I asked for clarification or proof of where it stated that, but they just won't respond. This is inconvenient for me as there are not a lot of places to get this specific food and now I have to find a new place to buy it.

The problem here is with customer service and apparently a coupon policy that is made up. This behaviour is bad business practice and terrible customer service. They need to update their marketing and also their ordering process.

 If you truly don't have a discount greater than $35, why does your website allow it to go through? Additionally, why would you cancel the entire order and not ask the customer (me) if I would accept a lower discount before cancelling the entire order? Another bad business practice.

  I also realize that my order was refunded and that it seems crazy to even complain, but they (Stefan) did this to themselves.  I will continue to post and recommend to avoid this company and their fake coupon.
