Optimal Keto Max Charged me for an upsell that I didn't purchase, and then it took 2 months to get them to refund my money, and they charged $20 in re-stocking fees. NM

I saw an ad from this website on Intagram. I clicked on it, and the product intrigued me, so I ordered the supplements for Optimal Ketosis for $119.88. I denied 2 upsells they put in front of me (double my order, and also chewable gummies). I asked my doctor about these, and since I am a cancer survivor, she said "no way".

I called Optimal Keto the very next next, right after my order. And they refused to cancel the order. They said to accept delivery, and then return the product with an RMA, which they provided. (It turns out this was a lie - if I had "refused delivery", I wouldn't have been charged their "restocking fees".

The credit card charges came through next, and they had billed me for the supplements I ordered and the "gummies", which I did NOT order, for $49.99. So they charged me a total of $170. I received the supplement products (gummies were not shipped) and immediately returned them via UPS. It took 3 phone calls, over the next 2 months, to get them to acknowledge receipt of the returned/unopened items.

They kept telling me to call back in 2 weeks to check the status of my refund. By the third call on Feb 20th I was mad as hell. I spoke with a rep who informed me there is a $40 restocking fee!!!! This was nowhere on the internet marketing funnel that I purchased through. I refused the fees, and asked for a supervior.

The rep said he could cut the restocking fees in half - only charge me $20 and he'd get my refund processed immediately. I refused. Asked again for a Supervisor.  I was put on hold for minutes. A supervisor took my call and I had to spend 10 minutes reviewing everything again, including providing my tracking number for the products I had returned, which I had already provided earlier.

She again said $40 restocking fee. I refused and said I would be leaving a bad reveiw anywhere I could post it on social media. She offered half-off on the restocking fee. I refused. She said those are my only options. That's all she can offer. She said the restocking fee is to "sanitize the products so they can be either resold or disposed of."

I refused again - she repeated herself. I accepted the $150 refund, with the $20 restocking fee, as I've been waiting 2 months for it. I immediately logged into RifOff Report.com to write this complaint.
