Paradise Pavers- of SWFL was hired to remove concrete driveway his contract stated he will remove approx. 6'' of orange dirt and install 6'' of hard base material... driveway is 30x30 it was 5'' thick. and install 60mm 2 3/8 thick pavers the pavers, manufacturer Belgard, requires 6 in. of dirt to be removed, and 6 in of base material to be installed, leveled and tamped down, and an additional 1'' layer of polymetric sand for pavers to set in. as you can see in the picture No dirt was removed and here come the gray pile of base material being delivered on the left... rip off!

no dirt was ever removed, I have 90 broken pavers, a big hump in the center, since it was leveled with a piece of string, driveway is sinking. when you need to cut a paver to fit an odd area, pavers will have a sharp edge and must be beveled with a grinder or they will chip off, none of that was done either, this is 5 months old, after it was installed 2 weeks later they had to replace 18 damaged pavers, due to no bevel there broke again, along with another 90+ Rob Mumford owner came out and refused to make it right, he refused to remove all materials, dig down as per manufacturer. Belgard requires all certified contractors offer a 3 year warranty, he reduced it to 1 year, in his contract because he knows it won't last 3 years...

let’s do some math driveway was 5'' thick, a paver 2 3/8 thick so that leaves about 2 1/2'' and that is exactly what he did, why are they bring in base material when clearly no dirt was removed? and that small pile was going to fill a 30x30x6'' driveway... this is a total rip off, I'm sure many other need to know this.... a wink news person here to witness it... consumers need to know... thank You Chuck Williams 239-822-2535
