Unfair Collections

       I brought in my Little girl, my cat for an emergency c-section at Pet Vets in Fresno CA in hopes that they may help, but instead I was gang raped. Not only did they wanted upfront money for a $8,000 procedure but they didn’t want to work with me. I wanted to give them all I had about three quarters upfront and the remainder when my bank opens and from family members the proceeding day as it was at night. They wanted to do a bunch of fancy stuff plus the c-section for my girl. They won’t just do the main blood work for organ health and the c-section, they wanted everything else. They ended up talking me into stepping stones towards the c-section. They did imaging to see where the kittens were and the reason for her issues. They did a few other things for my girl except the procedure that would save her life. They gave me two options, put my girl down with euthanasia or go through with the procedure. Later after much thought I requested that my cat be given back so I can leave, the nurse then told me that they would not give her back till I either do something for her, have the surgery or put her down. She made mention that it was the matter of humane care. But again they would not work with me. Later on when I did thankfully managed to get her out after they held my girl as hostage for more money. I payed my bills as I did every small procedure but on the last bill the guy up front that was handling me messed up. I payed with credit debit and the rest cash and I had to split the remainder with a larger bill and I was due cash back. But on the invoice it stated the cash back as due amount. This never made sense to me until later on I received a letter in the mail from pet vets of overdue balance amount. I called the individual in charge of billing and she said she shall talk to the guy that handled my checkout with the invoice later as he was in surgery and was indisposed. I mentioned couldn’t they cancel the error that was made. She said they could not clear the amount as it was in the system and would only clear if it is payed in full. She said as well if I get any more letters just to ignore them. I never knew exactly what that meant until I started to receive collection letters by mail and over my phone. I don’t think I should pay pet vets for money that was mine from change due to me from a larger bill. I have called them personally and all I ever got was the run around. I had my mother go on my behalf only for her to be misled by the staff. They hostaged my girl and never gave her the care she deserved and in the end I payed hundreds of dollars with only for them to insult me by them to steal more money from me. They are abusing the collection agencies and the credit reporting agencies for something that is in their error. How many others have they damaged in regards to their credit reports by the means of their penny greed? They are a cursed entity and should not exist. I have all my invoices to prove it.
