Phillip Glasser solicitation of unprofitable films and likely securities fraud Franklin TN

Phillip (Phil) Glasser grew up in Los Angeles, Ca, and now resides in Franklin, TN near Nashville.  Franklin is a well-known entertainment business enclave.  He is married to actress Elise Shirley.  More importantly, he is the brother of David Glasser of the Weinstein Company,  a successful but now notorious film production company formally headed by Bob and Harvey Weinstein.  Phil's brother David is internationally known for being the highest-ranking Non-Weinstein in the firm.  Their reputation has been soiled by allegations of sexual misconduct and financial improprieties.  

Phil was a child actor of much success but no recent movie successes have been associated with him.  In the mid-teens of this century, Phil was involved in more than one project that solicited investment and generated no returns.  For at least one of these projects Phil promised generous returns for investment,  claiming for himself to have made 200 million on an animated film he produced but in reality, the film grossed roughly 75 million.  In a Variety article about his brother's alleged connections to the mafia.  It references Phil setting up fake movie deals to release unsuspecting investors from their money in Nashville.

Prior to leaving Los Angeles, he was sued at least once by an investor for irregularities.

It is assumed that Phil moved to Nashville soon after to evade responsibility. 

Mr. Glasser claims to be a born-again Christian and seems to use his notoriety and Christianity to inspire investors.  He is associated with Bearfruit Films currently under investigation for Securities fraud in the state of Arizona.
