Yumi Beauty - Phuong-dung Nguyen (Yumi Nguyen) significant breakage, thinning, and visible damage to my hair. Katy Texas

I went to Yumi Nguyen (Yuminguyen.beauty) in Katy, Texas, with healthy, previously lightened hair. Before starting, I explained my full hair history, including that I had box dye over two years ago. She acknowledged the risks and said she would avoid overlapping bleach.
 
During the appointment, she seemed rushed and overlapped bleach on top of already lightened areas. This led to significant breakage, thinning, and visible damage to my hair. I remained polite during the session because I was in shock. The next morning, after seeing the full damage, I privately messaged her explaining I was hurt.

 
Instead of resolving the matter professionally, she posted screenshots of our conversation online and included my full, unblurred phone number. After that was reported, she reposted it with a hippo emoji covering my number — which I interpreted as body-shaming. During the appointment, she had also made a comment implying I weighed 200 pounds in a joking way, which was uncomfortable and inappropriate. As someone with hypothyroidism and weight sensitivity, this was upsetting.
 
She further made racially insensitive comments during the appointment about certain groups of people, and after I tried to post a review, it was taken down. She continued posting about me publicly and reframed the situation to make me look unstable while never acknowledging what she had done.

 
I have filed a complaint with TDLR and reached out for legal assistance. I am posting this to warn others to please be cautious and to document everything. I hope this can help someone else avoid going through the same experience.
