My experience is so similar to the other complaint from 2015 that I wished I had seen that complaint before hiring this company.

I found them via Pro-Services referrals from the Home Depot.

This was a $4900 job to install 17 doors and paint them. The quote was for labor only. He asks for $2500 in advance and I asked why since this is labor only. He sais for payroll and for some materias like caulking, drop cloths, etc,  so I figured that the minor materials such as screws, nails, rags, caulking, etc is included. I have a text from him about this so there is no misunderstanding here.

First day crew shows up late. Without any materials. Carlos says the quote was for labor only so I need to pay for caulking, screws, etc. I let it slide and pay for it. They are finally ready in the afternoon and install 2 doors. One closes all by itself. The new trim does not match in the corners.  Before I hired Carlos I sent him pictures about my current trim corners, one done right and one botched. I asked him if he could guarantee the workmanship that the new trim corners will look correct.

He said yes, they would look like the one done right. Since the 2 installed doors now have botched corners I sent Carlos a picture. He agreed that they were not done right and calls his subcontractor. They had already left for the day but they were just outside so they come back in and assure me that they will come back the next day to get it fixed.

The next day only one of the guys shows up. Late again. I need to stay and try to work from home. He disappears after one hour of being on the job. I think he just came to pick up his tools. I had been on the phone on a work call and I had no idea he had left. After a while of him not coming back, I called Carlos. He has no idea what the issue is and cannot get a hold of them. I call him back in the afternoon. He says the following week he will send a different creew and he gives me their names.

The following week a different person, only one, shows up. Apparently the subcontactor that was supposed to come, changed his mind. This new contractor tells me that if I want him to stay, Carlos needs to come and pay him because in the past Carlos did not pay him right. We agree that he will start fixing the 2 installed doors. I leave for work. He sends me a picture of the fixed trim and it looks good. I tell him it looks great and I assume he keeps installing doors.

NOT

My husband comes home early afternoon and there is nobody working. I call Carlos and he complains that the subcontractor wanted money up front and he could not do that. I wonder why he is so outraged about it when he did the same thing to me. At first I tell him that we are done and I want a refund, that I will pay him for the door delivery and the 2 installed doors. Then I reluctantly agree to have him send another crew the following week.  The subcontractor that had left calls me later in the evening to tell me that Carlos never explained the full extent of the work and the money that they agreed on was not enough. Carlos was supposed to send a helper and never did.

By Saturday, Carlos has not called with what day the next crew is coming. I call him and he says he does not know. By Sunday he has not called me back. I tell him that I am done and I want my money back. After a few days of somewhat polite exchanges it comes down to him agreeing to a refund, but he refuses to tell me how much. This was on 9/4.

I ask for an elecronic refund via Paypall or Zelle. He refuses. He says he will send me a check on 9/13. Right. I don't see a reason to wait for 10 days and then play the game of "the check is in the mail" so I tell him that I expect for him to keep the amount of money that the Home Depot would have charged for the door delivey and the installation of the 2 doors, I expect the check that week, not in 13 days and that if he does not comply I will be repoting him to the Home Depot, BBB, etc.

He blows up a gasket and says he is done talking to me and that he will send me a check.

It was all BS. I have not got it.
