Prime Dentistry Lied About Accepting Dental Insurance The Villages, Florida

Stay away from this horrible dental office. Their degree of laziness and incompetence is incredible.

3 weeks ago I called this office and asked if they took my insurance, a PPO which they are listed for. The woman told me yes, took all of my insurance information and made an appointment for 4-30-24. I even took the time to have my previous dental office, ( another horrible place - Aspen ) email my x- rays to them.

I drive 12 miles to this office today and I'm told that they are not in network with my insurance, and that I would have to pay out of pocket. I went off on this bleached blonde at the front desk asking her how did they wait 3 weeks and let me come there to tell me this ? All she said was she was sorry, and that they didn't find this out until today. Then she tried to charge me $99 for an exam which would have been covered with my insurance.

So in conclusion, the first woman who took my call 3 weeks ago didn't know what she was talking about telling me that they took my insurance, or she lied to get me to come to the office, hoping I would pay out of pocket. Then they sat on this for 3 weeks and acted like the didn't know they don't take my insurance until I arrived there.

In my 16 years in Florida, I have encountered many incompetent or corrupt office staff like this. You can't believe your insurance website or what the provider tells you over the phone. You have to check up on the provider yourself by calling your insurance. You can't trust the office staff in Florida.
