   We were conducting a crowd funding campaign to raise money for our startup. I was contacted by Umair, probably a fake name from # Promote, he evaluated our company and alluded that he could generate a Minimum of $70,000 in small investors in our first month and then grow from there. I told him we are a startup and can’t afford to risk losing any money, he said no problem and gave me some references. I was somewhat suspicious since the references only communicated through email and never would answer the phone. However, Umair was always available by phone and said I can call him anytime.  This was pitched as # promote having 400,000 plus people in their database that was 10x times likely to invest and that they raised money for over 200 companies just like mine.

I went forward, with their deal, they did work with me to generate an email promotion, after the sent it out thousands of emails, with no real verification except trust us, and want was a very unsophisticated proforma, we received not one click to our crowed funding platforms, after they claimed 1000’s of people saw their email. When I complained Umair was no where to be found, his phone was turned off, every other phone number on their team always went to voice mail with no return calls. Through email they made excuses about medical emergency’s ect…  We never received one $1 , lets alone $70k.

They refused to refund my money, This is clearly a scam and taking advantage of companies who need money and thinking that #Promote can help them.  I asked several times for a call, but I was just stone walled. I will be filing a cyber-FBI report. Do not give this fake company a dime, they are thieves and it’s a scam.
