R & T Tree Service, William Penitito, and Matila Amilale TOOK THE MONEY AND RAN West Valley City Salt Lake Utah

This company agreed to complete a yard xeroscape project already started by the homeowner. William Penetito, who uses the name Tito, received $8000.00 to "start the project and purchase materials". He ordered pea gravel, which was not requested. and had it dumped in the street in front of the home. He completed approximately 10% of the wok promised. The installation of the unwanted pea gravel was started but was subsequently redone by the homeowner because it was not done properly. He then left the pea gravel in front of the home and this resulted in a citation from the city to the homeowner. Homeowner, who is 66 years old and his sister, who is 58 and has cancer, had to move the 7000 pounds of gravel out of the street by hand because William Penitito never returned despite multiple promises to do so. The unwanted pea gravel was never paid for. The owner of the company that delivered the rock then came to the home to demand payment for the pea gravel. Tito had not paid him for it and a lein on the home was threatened.

A lawsuit was ultimately filed in small claims court. When served, Mr. Penitito sent an angry text to the homeowner despite his failure to respond to multiple text messages and phone calls during the previous weeks. Mr, Penitito was actually angry that the homeowner was suing him! He did not show up for the hearing (online). As a result, a default judgement was obtained in court on 11/10/22, but collecting it may be futile. This company and these individuals are thieves and cheats. They have cost the homowner money time and more labor than it would have taken to complete the project alone in the first place.
