On December 12, 2014, I paid him $1,425 by check to redesign the Florida Garden Supplies website. Unfortunately, he never delivered the website or returned my money. For months, he gave me endless excuses to delay the refund, and eventually, he disappeared entirely. In mid-August 2024, I discovered that Rafael had started another company called BoxheaDigital, which also offers website and SEO services. When I contacted him, he assured me he would refund my money within a week. However, the excuses began again, and no refund ever materialized. To try to resolve the issue, I proposed a compromise: I was working with a team of designers in India on a website project for $800 (the first phase), and I suggested that Rafael take over this project. I asked him to pay $425 (a portion of the cost), and I would settle the remaining $1,425 later. He agreed to this plan but never followed through. Instead, he continued to promise he would send the $425 "next week,” all while ignoring my calls. This pattern of excuses, delays, and dishonesty is deeply frustrating, and it shows how Rafael operates. I feel scammed, and I want to warn the general public: do not engage with Rafael Madrigal, REM Marketing Group, or his new company BoxheaDigital.
