I am sharing my harrowing experience to warn others about the dishonest practices of Juan Nava and RCAR. They defrauded me out of $3,000, and after nearly four agonizing months, returned my car in the same broken condition. This ordeal has been a nightmare, and I hope no one else falls victim to their deceit.

At the end of 2023, I visited RCAR to repair my car’s AC, choosing them based on their glowing online reviews. Juan Nava, claiming to be the owner, advised that the entire AC system needed replacement for $1,700 due to prior work done by another mechanic. Trusting his word, I agreed. After only one week, the AC failed again. When I returned, Juan shifted the blame, stating that the heater core was the issue this time and quoted me an additional $1,366 for the repair.

In June 2024, after saving the funds, I returned to RCAR and paid the full amount. What followed was a string of excuses and broken promises. Every week, Juan assured me the car would be ready, only to delay further. He even blocked my number at one point, making it impossible to reach him. I caught him in several lies, claiming he wasn't at the shop when he clearly was.

By August 30, I had reached my limit. Despite his promise that the car would be ready, I found it still untouched. I demanded my money back if the car wasn’t ready the following week. When I returned on September 17, Juan promised a refund of $1,200 out of the $3,000 I had paid. However, as of today, October 7, I haven’t seen a single dollar, and my patience has run out. I am now pursuing legal action to recover what I’ve lost.
