Rick Hendrick Toyota of Fayetteville Paid dealership $31,000.00 for a 2024 Toyota Camry and discovered scratches within twenty minutes after leaving. Call salesman and texted concerning issue and no reply. Made two calls to speak with management and they refused to return the call. Fayetteville NC

I visited Rick Hendrick Toyota at 1969 Skibo Road, Fayetteville, NC 28314 numerous times before purchasing a 2024 Toyota Camry SE on September 30, 2023.During the transaction I question what the discount in the amount of $2350.00 consisted of. The salesman could not explain the discount. Therefore, he left the desk with the documents in hand to ask Manager Charles Steward. The salesman returned and stated that manager said "it was a Toyota discount” but did not provide any additional information. I asked numerous times concerning the discount because the contract did not list the $500.00 military discount. The manager still refused to answer the question and continued to state it was a Toyota discount. I was asked to provide a copy of my DD 214 to even consider the discount. They were not willing to accept a military retirement card until later. During the transaction I was told that the ONLY way I could get the military discount were to finance the vehicle. No stipulations were mention prior about the discount until September 29, 2023. The dealership was provided a cashier check in the amount of $30,000.00 and a $1,000.00 credit card transaction on September 29, 2023. A contract had been written on September 28, 2023 but was not finalized. A financing contract was signed to get the $500.00 military discount However, the transaction was to be paid in full instead of the financing contract. An outstanding balance remains due to the fact that a warranty protection package was never mention nor discussed during my prior visits. Within twenty minutes after completing the purchase and leaving the dealership for Fort Liberty, NC I discovered numerous scratches on the car after direct sun exposure. I called the salesman on his cell phone and left a voice message concerning the issue. In addition, a text message was left. I never received a reply back to neither of the communications. Therefore, I called the dealership twice and spoke with them about the issue. I EXPLAINED in detail about the issue. In addition, I informed them about messages that was left for the salesman. The salesman was systematic over aggressive for the sale purchase until the end. He would send me numerous emails about the prospective purchase. Also, the dealership would could to remind me about appointments. After the purchase on September 29, 2023 no one returned the calls nor texted a message. During both telephone calls with the dealership I was repeatedly told that management officials would call me back. I was informed on the second call management was in a meeting and they would call me. To date, no one never called me back although a $31,000.00 has been completed. The dealership covert unprofessionalism finally surfaces after receiving the money and leaving the premises. Being military affiliated I became just another number and most likely others at Fort Liberty, NC for their monthly quotes for financial gain instead of a VALUED customer that just was ripped off for $31,000.00.The salesman had no problem in providing answers, obtaining information outside his level of service, or sending numerous text messages EVERYTIME I would not make a purchase. On September 30, 2023 after they obtained $31,000.00 an unprofessional message was sent at 20:54 p.m. from his residents instead of a reply while at the dealership.

 First off, the reason you would not get the military "discount" unless you financed thru them is because they weren't giving you anything! That $500 "gift" would have been PAID BACK BY YOU with extra APR interest added on! Did you even bother to do your research about this dealership chain? ANY dealership which adds BOGUS, ADD-ON, PHONEY FEES to a purchase is telling you IN ADVANCE, honesty and integrity is NOT practiced there! What about the "dealer installed options" of $2000-$3000, (a huge trumped up amount), whether you want them or not? Did you even bother to read the REPUTATION of this chain? How about Rick Hendrick's MAIL FRAUD case and that "miraculous cure" of cancer so he wouldn't spend time in prison or the pardon by a democratic president seeking to buy votes? Did you know that? These are things which are VERY WELL KNOWN in the industry and among the good people in the business who hold their noses because he smells like a walking septic tank thanks to his reputation. You bought a new car. How do you know it was "new"? There was body damage to this car. What I would do WITHOUT FAIL is contact the ZONE OFFICE and advise it will be fixed (at another dealership) or you will take this matter to court. This could be a small claims action or you can run this matter past an attorney who has experience battling with the TRASH of the industry. I urge you to not DROP this matter. These car dealer slimeballs like this chain, think customers are too stupid and wimpy to take them on. How about YOU being the exception? What you should do is SPREAD THE WORD in as many places as possible as to what this dealership trash did to you. Tell everybody you know.

"FREE" means you pay ZERO DOLLARS. YOU fell for this "capture your card number" con-game with the "just pay for shipping" which is PURE BS.
