I have been a member of this tanning salon since 2011 shortly after they opened their Broken Arrow, Ok location. My monthly payment was auto debited from my bank account every month for $45 which is a GREAT deal since it includes the use of ALL beds.

I will say their cancellation policy does not adhere to the convenience of their customers. One has to make a trip to the salon to obtain a form, fill said form out, and then mail form to the Corporate office. There is no filling the form out at the salon and leaving it at said salon for them to submit to corporate.

In this day and age, scanners and email are a HUGE CONVENIENCE that a lot of businesses utilize. Not this business. Most businesses allow immediate cancellation, and on top of that, they do not rquire contratual memberships. They make it as inconvenient as possible to cancel probably becuase they know most folks don't want to hassle with it.

I had made an attempt a year or so back to cancel my membership because I simply was no longer using it. I had no desire to tan in the winter months, and once the summer months hit, I would use the beds long enough to develop a base tan, and then for the rest of the season, I would keep my color from spending time outdoors. Anyways, I opted out of cancelling because I had gotten my membership through Groupon and was locked in at the fabulous rate of $45 a month.





Fast forward to September 2019, I move from OK to TX and with that move, i switched banks, and obviously would not need their tanning salon any longer. At this time I did speak with the Corporate office who was supposed to have emailed me my cancellation form, but I never received it. Along with my move across state lines, THIS was not on my list of priorities.

Once I had a new bank account, i knew that they would not be able to collect money from me, and then I figured the membership would be automatically cancelled or upon my attempts to use said services a balance would be collectable then. Mind you, I am now living in TX where none of their salons exist, and if I were to walk into one of their salons to use their services, any balance due and owing at that time would have had to been paid prior to me being able to use any of their beds.

The phone call from corporate today stated that I had to pay two months worth of "membership" fees plus rejection fees before they would cancel my membership. If I completed the cancellation form, but didn't pay the $87 balance, my membership would still not be cancelled, and that the remaining balance would be sent to collections and charges would continue to rack up .

 I told them I was not going to pay for services I never used. Again, they know they have not been used becsuse any balance due would have been required to be paid prior to me using their tanning beds.

After some thought, i agreed to myself to pay the balance (rejection fees included) as long as they could provide me with an acknowledgement signed by meat the start of my membership in regards to their cancellation policy. They provided me with the acknowledgemnt that I executed in 2017 when I had froze my account due to non-use.
