Road 1 Transportation - Andrew Miles, Owner Breached term(s) of contract regarding damage coverage. Philadelphia Pennsylvania

I contracted Road 1 to transport my inop vehicle and clearly described the exact condition of it, verbally and in writing, and the requirements to transport it. A contract was signed clearly stating that it would be transported by a carrier with insurance covering any damage during transport. The agent assured me that a capable carrier would be provided and even described the exact services that would be provided.

It turns out that they chose a small, 2-truck, foreign llc carrier that was not capable of performing this transportation. Damage occurred and was well documented in photographs. The driver refused to document the damage, and the carrier refuses to accept a claim for the damage. The driver realized when he arrived at the vehicle that he did not have the capability to transport it as-is. It had some detached sheetmetal pieces and they violated the carrier's policy regarding no loose parts. Instead of refusing the load and rescheduling it, he chose to load up without properly stacking and securing the pieces.

It appears that the agent may have misreported the load because the driver was dispatched to pick up a drivable car. (He is no longer an agent at Road 1.) I immediately reported it to Road 1, and they initially stated that they would contact the carrier for a resolution. After multiple replies to my emails stating that they are working on it and would keep me updated, communication totally ceased. All emails, texts, and voicemails have gone unanswered for nearly 2 months now. Total silence. I don't know if I am being blocked or just totally ignored. The contract assured me that damage would be covered. It occurred through no actions of mine, so it is up to Road 1 to make good.
