Roadway Rescues STOLE $351.00 of my money and NEVER provided the service that I paid for. They need to be sued for much more than the $351.00 that I lost and they will learn to never repeat these illegal actions again.
My car stopped on me last Saturday 12/9/2023; around 11:30am central time, I had a child with me. A gentleman stopped to help me; however he was unable to jump start my vehicle and told me that I needed a battery. I contacted a company by the name of Roadway Rescues; and told them about the issue with my car and that I needed a battery. I was dealing with a representative by the name of Chris. The company stated they can dispatch a tow truck driver to me and that he would bring a new battery to install into my vehicle. I explained to the rep Chis that I had a child with me; he told me that he understood and that it would be about 45 minutes to 1 hour for the driver to get to me. I used my debit card and paid $350.00 for the service; I was actually quoted $280 + tax; I asked Chris are there any additional fees, he said No there isn't. Chris stated that he would call me back once he made contact with the driver. After about 35 minutes, I called Chris multiple times at the 844-900-8697 number; he kept saying he would call me back; I called him back, he put me on hold for an extended period of time; I hung up the phone and called the company back. The rep Chris then proceeded to tell me that he needed more money; first he said he needed an additional $111; then he said he needed an additional $122; I said you don't quote me one price and then after I pay; you're demanding more money. I was very upset; I demanded a refund; I said why should I pay for a service that you did not provide. I have called that company nearly every day since Saturday; I have not gotten anywhere, nor have I gotten my money back.
When I called the company back the following day and asked for Chris, all of a sudden a Chris did not work there, no-one knew who he was.
I spoke with someone that told me he was a manager; his name is Alex Abao email alex.a@roadrescueteam.com he basically laughed when I told him that I will be reporting him and Roadway Rescues. I asked him is this a real company, he said yes. Alex told me that there would be a cancellation fee of $60.00; I told Alex there will not be a cancellation fee; your company did not provide the service that I paid for. As of today, I have NOT received my money back from Roadway Rescues. They should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. I am sure that I am not the only person this has happened too
I ended up having to pay another tow truck company $175, purchase a battery from AutoZone and I got the battery installed free.

Civil Matter

This is not "stealing.” It is at most a breach of contract. If everything you’re saying is true, you do have a valid civil suit against them for a refund. But you will not be prosecuting them for anything, and you will also not get treble damages just because you are mad.
