Robert Buchan Mynizaga Capital Upfront Fee Scam Dawsonville Georgia

Robert Buchan is a complete fraud, liar and scam artist.  He runs Mynizaga Capital and purports to represent large private investors in Canada who can lend billions.  He will not identify the names of the investors.  He will purport to have financed multiple billion dollar projects yet cannot produce a single deal reference.  

Here's the fraud: He will tell you that he can absolutely finance your project, however it requires a 10% down payment.  He can also finance the down payment but requires a $5,000 upfront fee to arrange the loan.  A colleague fell for this and paid the $5,000.  Robert Buchan subsequently introduced him to another broker who insisted on a $35,000 non-refundable, upfront fee which Buchan never said anything about.  When my friend declined to proceed and tried to get his $5,000 back, Buchan said no.  It had only been two days and all Buchan did was introduce another broker.  My friend is out $5,000. 

Buchan is a complete fraud.  The address of his company, Mynizaga Capital, is also his home in Dawsonville, Georgia.  It is a middle-class house in a modest neighborhood, though Buchan purports to be a millionaire with homes in Europe and the Caribbean. 

He's also a shameless name-dropper.  He's told me that he was friends with Ted Turner and that one of his investors is Michael Dell.  Whenever challenged, he becomes irate and belligerant.
