Ross Otterman (independent producer) promised high return on the money we invested in his film. The film he produced was of poor quality and never released and makes no money (we later found out none of his movies were ever released in theaters or TV or streaming companies). We lost everything while he and the rest of the crew gets paid.
He takes advantage of those who dont understand the movie business. Most of the time people like me don't even report this because we are embarrassed as we lose so much. Such a scammer. He promised so much. We find out the movie project had a terrible script. Unknown director. Unprofessional acting with nasty violence. All the promises he made about stars and awards and national releasing were just lies. Beware!!

I’ve been film making since Elementary school in Connecticut (1969). I’ve been in the Screen Actors Guild for 42 years and worked on some of the biggest budget films in the history of film making. During this time I went to Film School. My professor was a former USC Professor of Film and I graduated top of my class. In the my entire career I’ve never witnessed a more motivated and hardworking Producer than ROSS OTTERMAN. Honest to his core and a genius in his own right. Ross never failed to pay his hardworking crew & vendors. Payed for Hotels & Flights for vital crew members. Meals & per diem. Never did Ross SCAM me during our 10 year relationship. Ross is anything but a SCAM ARTIST. I state my reputation on that. Look me up I enlisted in the military at 16 years old. I know character and if he’s at fault it’s for wearing to many hats. Not all films are profitable at first. Pete Turner
