August 2018 we entered into an agreement with Royal Contracting Solutions in Pleasant Hill MO.

During the installation process we immediately started to experience problems with the crew and not having a foreman that we could communicate to in English, we contacted the Owner Ausin Watterson, and Mark Guffey the sales rep.  After promises of better workmanship and a supervisor on site we continued, our roof was BARE.

The crew continued the job by bashing holes in our roof instead of using safety anchors & harness to tie off, over stacking the materials and dropped shoulder level on the peaks, damaged shingles, the material between shingles & missing step flashing, wood sheeting not 100% covered under shingles due to missing underlayment.   We now have 2 leaks in our home and damage to the interior, a ripped boat cover, scratched skylight from shingles being slid over it, birds living under the soffet where they removed a piece of wood during installation, and an ugly and less than desirable aesthetics roof.

The owner Austin Watterson,  will not accept responsibility for his crew.  He is demanding the remainder of our downpayment of $7532.43 (we already paid $7532.43), a check that was issued from Owens Corning for labor $7464.37 Plus a voucher for all materials to replace the roof his crew had just installed.  He Wants To Be Paid Twice for replacing our roof!!  We offered to pay any remaining money left over after all the repairs to our interior and replacement of our roof have been completed.  We have no intentions to rehire Royal Contracting to fix all the issued they created, and they are holding the funds hostage from enabling us to to complete the repairs on our home.

We own Pleasant Hill Drone Service and are a professional Aerial and Video Drone Photography Company and have pictures of all damages reported.  We hired this company because we are members of our local Chamber of Commerce, as is Royal, and wanted to benefit local business in our community.   We have recently been sent a demand letter by their attorney for an outstanding balance, more money than was originally determined.  Now we are requesting the return of our initial deposit and the releaase of the Ownes Corning check and voucher.  We do not want to profit on this, we just want a quality roof on our home.
