On April 15, 2020 I contracted Roy's Pools to perform pool resurfacing, water tile line retiling, and pool deck work after he provided me with a formal quote, I received a copy of his COI, and Contractors Registration that were all valid. We asked for it to be completed before Memorial Day. I paid a 60% deposit at this time via my Barclay's credit card.  Total deposit was $7,710.80.

On April 20, 2020 Brian and two guys came out and started pumping out the pool.  They were not able to and needed a larger pump.  He said he would be back.  He never came back.

I reached out via text (we used that and email mainly as our communication method), email, and calls numerous times through May 14th to try to get something scheduled.  I have documentation of all my attempts.  No response.  I also have documentation from Facebook showing they were actively posting, and showing work they were doing so there was no issue on their end like a family emergency or anything.  They were simply ignorming me.  On May 14th after no further response from Brian and wanting to get my pool opened timely, I disputed the charge on my credit card thinking they would simply handle it as a work not performed fraud case since I have specific protection for this type of scenario.

On May 15th I received a call from someone at Roy's pools claiming to be the office manager and going on about trying to get to all their families.  Never spoke to this person before and the person claimed they were new.  I explained I had been attempting to contact Brian Roy the owner for weeks, and that I wanted him to call me asap to resolve this.  I received no additional communication from Brian or anyone else at Roy's Pools.

On June 29th, the charge was reversed on my card and a message appeared on my account that this dispute was resolved and removed from dispute.  Subsequently, I received a letter from Barclay's that this was only a provisional credit while they reviewed the dispute.

On July 29th, the charge was again placed back on my Barclay's Credit Card account, and now the charge says it was resolved and removed from dispute again.

I called Barclay's as soon as I realized it on 07/31/2020 and spoke with Bella at Barclay's - Roy's Pool charge came back on my card on July 29, 2020.  Nobody contacted me at all regarding the disputes to verify accuracy or learn my side of the dispute.  She kept talking about automatic charges not understanding what I was saying.  She then transferred and hung up on me.

Called Barclay's again, spoke with Cy at Barclay's after Bella on 07/31/2020, she then transferred me to the Dispute for Follow-up.  They were closed.
