If you're a salesman, you should think long and hard before working for this company.   After I was hired and completed my first deal, the owner said to me a few times, "You're not going to quit on me are you?  I have so many people who do one or two deals and quit."   The guy was a jerk (insert more colorful language) before this and it made me wonder that worse things were coming.  My gut was right.   I then finished two more projects (one was a big one)  They then gave me two projects to work at once (the others were one at a time) and said how "easy" they were.  Well, I got zero renewels on both of them.  Sometimes they didn't even ask what the cost was.  They just didn't want it anymore.   Others thought the new price increase, $40, was way too much.....and this was in an area where the boss kept bragging was "super rich."  They didn't even want to spend $300 on an ad.  Doing it less than that was losing money.   So, after just two days (one day I was off for doctor appointments) of working on these projects the owner called me up two different times and berated me calling me lazy because I hadn't got any renewels yet.   What a flaming a-hole. Are you f-ing kidding me? And he wonders why so many people quit on him.   Oh, and be prepared to chase about half of your deals to get their ads in because his graphics person is a moron and expects you to do that for them.   Lastly, I was told if I closed three bags in a month I'd get a bonus.  Of course, I got ripped off on that and never saw it.   Not only that, when I first started, he actually mailed paychecks across the country....which is beyond stupid.  I needed my money fast and had him Fed-Ex it and he said he'd pay half.  Of course, he lied and charged me the full amount....all because he's a dinosaur and couldn't do direct deposit like 99.99% of the other companies out there (he FINALLY switched to it).    I wouldn't believe one word this guy said.  Not only should I get that bonus, if he had any morals, he'd re-pay me for the Fed-Ex charge because he was so ancient mailing checks in '24.  Not holding my breath.......   He needs to look in the mirror why so many people quit so fast instead of crying how "lazy" people are.  There were 4 or 5 times I thought, "What a complete jerk (insert more colorful language)" after hanging up talking to him.   The fact he called me......twice.....and berated me saying I was lazy after not getting a sale in 2 days after I did three projects (one big) my first month is absolutely ridiculous.   He owes me that bonus.....and should pay me back for the Fed-Ex cost.
