Ryan Narain, low-level employee for Heidi Daus Failed to pay for services rendered, ran scams on other people as well Montclair New Jersey

Ryan approached us with an offer of money in exchange for our services, typical business transaction.  As time went on, it became clear that he did not have the money he claimed he did, and was having a lot of trouble paying us.

At first, he presented himself to us as an independent contractor working for Heidi Daus, but later it became clear he was simply one of her employees, a low-level manager handling "big picture" ideas (he was the errand boy for the administrative duties Heidi didn't care to handle herself).

As each week working for him passed, there was a new reason he couldn't pay us, or a new reason we needed to delay payment further.  Eventually we decided to stop work and cut ties with him as it was clear he was not the capable businessman he claimed to be.  Claiming it was our faults we weren't being paid, he tried to withhold all payment for our work, but eventually acknowledged the potential legal troubles not paying us would bring and ended up paying us a portion of the money owed.

This isn't the first time he's done this, as I've come into contact with others who experienced the same issues with him.  I think this is a key behavior that marks the difference between a businessman, and a man playing at business - you can either pay for the services you buy, or you can throw a fit about why you don't want to.

During our time in contact with Ryan, we became aware of other scams being run, and other instances of different workers not being paid for services rendered or goods purchased.  As you can clearly see, he is not a fan of paying for things if he thinks he can get away with not doing so.
