Sage Dental of Brandon, FL Tried to take me for my money and insurance claim. Brandon Florida

I showed up to my appointment and over heard the front desk telling an elderly man that is needs a cleaning and his insurance will not pay for it, that he has to pay for the cleaning before they will fix any problem that he has. So I asked the front desk if I could just be seen for the tooth that is causing me pain and he informed that they can examine my tooth today but if I need anything done to it I have to that I have to have a complete full cleaning and examine of all me teeth before they could fix my one tooth. I told him that is ridiculous, so he lied to me and told me that they are just following my insurances' protocol and that my mouth has to be completely clean before they can do anything. I contacted my insurance as soon as I got home and the insurace company told that is not true and that they don't have a protocol like that, if I'm in pain or have a concern about a certain tooth then they will cover what I need to have done without any cleaning or even a full mouth examine. 

Sage Dental is trying to get more money and make the patient go through more dental care then what is unnecessary.
