Schawna and Josh Stark took over 108 days to send my pink slip month after month of excuses and delays, I had to involve the police! Menifee CA

Schawna King-Stark and Josh Stark, 

I purchased a vehicle from Schawna Stark and Joshua Stark on October 31, 2024 when I wire transferred $23,000 to their account.   Schawna King-Stark  and Joshua Stark stated they still owed the balance of $23,000 on the vehicle and would have to pay off the loan through their credit union then would immediately forward the pink slip to me.  November I inquired about the title, December I inquired about the title January 2025 I inquired about the title, February 2025 I inquired about the title.  I received several excuses, perfunctory apologies and promises to send the pink slip "ASAP"  

Schawna King-Stark  would state that husband Joshua Stark has the pink slip and was at work and would send it out "ASAP"  Joshua the time he actually replied to my text message stated he believed the title had arrived at the house and would send it "ASAP.  After contacting my business attorney to start the paperwork to sue these two liars for recession of contract or specific performance to furnish the pink slip we called Joshua Stark at work February 13, 14th , 2025 to confirm that is his place of employment to forward to the process server . 

His work claimed he was not in, was on vacation and would not be back for at least another week....    I sent another of many messages and was being ignored.  108 days later I left my home at just after 7 am to drive to Menifee to their home.  For their safety I contacted Menifee police department to meet me at the home. 

1 hour 20 minutes and two phone calls later they arrived.  The police officers knocked on the door, rang the bell, and waited.  After about 10 minutes someone answered the front door. The officer then called the Starks on her cell phone.  They informed the officer they mailed my pink slip just 2 days prior, or over 106 days after I purchased the f**king vehicle  In California you legally have 10 calendar days to register a vehicle. 

I am 98 days over that requirement as of today and there will be penalties imposed on me because these lazy excuse making liars took their time delaying, obfuscating and only after TWO threats of a lawsuit and confirming his place of work did these piles of ___________ finally send my pink slip US Mail.  It takes 1 to 2 days to mail and receive a letter .  I just arrived back home and it's 12:23 pm.  I wasted over 5 hours of my Sunday driving to these lowlifes house to get the title they intentionally withheld for months. 

One of the messages  Schawna King-Stark  replied to she purported I could "go to the DMV and register the vehicle with the bill of sale" INCORRECT!  Because of the value of the vehicle I need the bill of sale AND the title OR, the bill of sale AND an application for lost title which these lazy f's still would have to furnish me.   Wasted two hours with the DMV trying to register this vehicle without the pink slip.  

Her last reply 3 weeks ago stated:  " Good morning. My apologies for the pink slip not getting to you yet. Aside from about eight hours to sleep at home and returning directly to another fire my husband has not been home. He has literally been on shift since probably 1st of January and is currently on a fire as we speak. While I understand and appreciate where you’re coming from, I don’t think a lawsuit is necessary, especially when you have ownership of the vehicle and a bill of sale and could go to DMV and request a new one if it’s a pressing issue for you. When my husband has a day off, you will be at the top of the list of priorities of things that need to be done.

I would mail it out for him however he had it on his person to mail out to you not expecting to head out to a fire that same morning. Be assured him not responding to you is not a lack of willing to communicate, but most likely other factors which include lack of service, being on the line for 48 hours straight, and not having a moment to think for himself let alone respond to messages as I haven’t heard from him in probably five or six days . Again, I appreciate where you’re coming from and I apologize for the delay. Just know we still fully intend to send it to you as soon as he returns home also, please note again you’re welcome to go to DMV and get a new one if you do not wish to wait. Sorry for the inconvenience."    

BLAH BLAH BLAH STFU, more excuses after I threaten a lawsuit she says" I don’t think a lawsuit is necessary, especially when you have ownership of the vehicle and a bill of sale and could go to DMV and request a new one if it’s a pressing issue for you " I don't have "ownership" ignoramus, I have possession and a bill of sale. The vehicle as of today is still registered IN YOUR NAME!   Then once again goes on to promise when he has a day off "When my husband has a day off, you will be at the top of the list of priorities of things that need to be done. I would mail it out for him however he had it on his person to mail out to you not expecting to head out to a fire that same morning. " well that's funny because he said it was at home, which is it"?? I'm pretty sure the US Mail picks up outgoing mail in San Diego County too.  

Then shes goes on to make excuses for her husband Joshua Stark for not responding, even though read receipts are turned on and he clearly read my messages!!! She once again months later states they will mail my pink slip to me and invites me to waste my f**king time to go to the DMV to get a new one, well nitwit, without an application for lost title I cannot apply for a new one, only the REGISTERED OWNER can apply for a lost title. " Just know we still fully intend to send it to you as soon as he returns home also, please note again you’re welcome to go to DMV and get a new one if you do not wish to wait. "

  My mistake for purchasing a vehicle in Menifee from obvious trash   I will see when the title arrives how much the late fees I am on the hook for due to their INTENTIONAL DELAY furnishing me with the title, and I'll decide to sue them in small claims for those fees.......   Think twice about buying anything from these excuse making lazy a**es
