On June 11th 2019, I emailed a store manager, Kyle Patterson. I informed him about an issue with my sales person, Joe Knipple. Joe increased my  lumber price by $3000 the day before my delivery. Due to the fact that I have to deliver this home to my client by December and my carpenters were ready to start framing the net day,  I went ahead with the purchase and delivery.  

I emailed both quotes to Kyle. After reviewing both lumber quotes, Kyle acknowledged that something didn't look right. Kyle lead me to believe  he would resolve the issue.    I Never heard back from Kyle. That issue was Not resolved. As a matter of fact, the issues worsened. Not only did my price go up by $3000,  the take off that Joe Knipple did for my job was way off.





He had a ridiculous  amount of excessive lumber shipped out for the roof. His unscrupulous, business practice must've earned him a really good commission at my expense.   I had to email and call the store multiple times to have Schillings pick up the excessive lumber. Joe Knipple has been fast to return my call when he's about to make a sale but slow to return a call or email otherwise.   

I have received really bad customer service and dishonest business practice from Schillings Mokena location.  I've made multiple request to receive my invoices at the time of my purchase. I have also received invoices for material with no price listed. Then I'll receive an invoice with  ridiculously priced lumber.  

So far, I have received nothing but excuses from Kyle about the excessive lumber stemming from Joe's corrupt take off. I am waiting to receive the full amount for the returned lumber. It would be nice if the CEO, Dean Schillings cared about customer service and addressed these issues!

 I reached out to Dean but I  haven't heard back from him........Oh thats right...Schillings already made their money from me.    Women of color be ware of doing business with Schillings.  I have been treated Very different from other Builders/Contractors that do business here.
