I feel compelled to share my extremely negative experience with Scott Fortas, an attorney based in Atlanta. After working with him, I am convinced that he should not only be removed from my case but that his actions throughout his career reflect a troubling lack of ethics that warrants serious scrutiny. In my experience, Scott Fortas demonstrated a pattern of behavior that was not only unprofessional but also downright unethical, and his disregard for basic standards of honesty and integrity in the legal field was both shocking and disheartening.

From the start, my interactions with Mr. Fortas were filled with broken promises and miscommunication. He failed to meet deadlines, ignored my calls and emails for long periods, and seemed completely disinterested in providing the level of service and attention that any client should reasonably expect. On numerous occasions, I was left in the dark regarding the progress of my case, only to receive vague responses when I sought updates. What was more concerning, however, was the fact that his actions often seemed to be in direct conflict with the best interests of my case. It was as though his priority was to secure his own interests, rather than work in good faith to represent me.

As I continued to deal with him, it became evident that he was either severely incompetent or intentionally deceptive. He provided me with legal advice that was either grossly inaccurate or downright misleading, and it became increasingly difficult to trust anything he said. I eventually had to seek advice from another attorney who confirmed that many of the actions taken by Fortas were not only ill-advised but could have jeopardized the outcome of my case.

Perhaps most troubling of all was his complete lack of accountability. Whenever I raised concerns about his conduct or questioned his decisions, he would deflect responsibility, never acknowledging or apologizing for the mistakes he made. Instead of owning up to any errors or explaining his actions in a transparent manner, he made excuses and shifted blame elsewhere, making it clear that he had no intention of taking accountability for the harm he caused.

At this point, I believe it’s clear that Scott Fortas has demonstrated a repeated disregard for the ethical standards that should guide any legal professional. His conduct has caused unnecessary distress, wasted time, and led to an overall negative outcome that could have been avoided with proper representation. His inability or unwillingness to act in good faith as an attorney shows that he should not be practicing law.

In my opinion, Scott Fortas should be investigated thoroughly by the appropriate regulatory bodies, and I believe he should be disbarred for his unethical behavior. I would strongly advise anyone considering his services to think twice. There are many qualified, competent, and ethical attorneys out there who prioritize their clients' best interests and uphold the standards of the legal profession. Fortas is not one of them.
