I contracted with Secure Auto Shipping to transport my car from AZ to VA. I had received a personal recommendation for them from a coworker who had used them multiple times so didn't do as much homework as I should have.

I was quoted $1,230 for the shipping fee, which they later raised to $1,280 when they called to arrange pick-up and I obliged. I paid $180 deposit with the balance due in cash at delivery.

On 6/8/24, they sent a trucking company with which they contracted, Astra Lines, Inc., to pick up my car in Scottsdale, AZ. At that time, the driver produced a fraudulent Bill of Lading. It took a while to get it corrected and re-sent to me via email, but they did ultimately correct it.

The contract stated that the car would be delivered between 6/11 - 6/12 and I was told that I'd receive 24 hour notice from the driver. On 6/12, having heard nothing from anyone, I reached out to my representative, Ross, at Secure Auto Shipping. I was told that the driver was delayed in Arkansas and that the car would be delivered 6/14 - 6/15.

While not ideal, I wasn't too upset at this point. However, when 6/15 came around and I'd still not heard from anyone - including the 24-hr. driver notice, I reached out. I was told the trailer/my car was in North Carolina and would be delivered that night.

By 8pm EDT, still with no sign of/word from the driver, I reached out again. Thjis time the story changed and the trailer had supposedly broken down. They claimed it was at a repair shop in Charlotte.

After multiple texts with both Secure Auto Shipping and Astra Lines, I was finally able to get them to tell me the address where the trailer was supposedly being fixed. I called the place when it opened and quickly learned that the trailer was not there.

At this point, with Secure Auto Shipping simply throwing their hands up and refusing to do anything to pressure Astra Lines to deliver the car or even account for it in any way, I filed a police report listing the car as stolen.

Later that same day, we were able to coerce a photo of the car from Secure Auto Shipping/Astra Lines. From that photo, we were able to use location services to determine they had taken the car to a residential neighborhood in Philadelphia, PA.

As of this writing - 11 days from when the car was picked up - it is still missing and considered stolen. Neither Secure Auto Shipping nor Astra Lines will return calls/texts/emails - in fact, they've blocked me from calling/texting them.

I am making it my mission to let as many people as possible know about these two very shady companies. Do not use Secure Auto Shipping or Astra Lines.
