Words cannot describe the disgust for Sharon and Profit Wise! Failure every step of the way! When I scheduled my taxes to be prepared this year, I specifically request Sharon to do them due to the complexity of the filing. That did not happen and instead was handed off to a new employee, Jonathan, who was completely unfamiliar with my tax situation and can't follow simple directions (Sharon excused this mistake by stating Jonathan is an extreme introvert).

I requested that I be called prior to starting my taxes to address questions I had. Didn't happen. Instead I received a call to go over my taxes after they were done. I made the appointment and mention on three separate occasions that this would be a phone meeting and to upload my filing so I can review. Didn't happen. At the time of my appointment, I received no phone call. After 15 minutes had passed, I called and was told the staff was looking for me in the lobby. I was then transferred to Jonathan.

I asked Jonathan why my tax return was not uploaded to the portal for my review as requested and he explained he was not told of my request. Really??? This is an appointment to go over my tax return!
As he described what he did with my taxes (since he was unwilling to upload to the portal for my review), we discovered a big mistake with my filing. Which he fixed on the spot and assured me the tax return would be uploaded to the portal that day.

Well rest assured there was zero issue sending me the bill. However, bill paid and SIX days later and no tax return uploaded. I called Jonathan, he was out of the office. I emailed Jonathan, no response. I called the next morning and was told he left early for the day. Apparently being an extreme introvert affects your ability to verify returns are uploaded properly and to respond to client emails.

I requested to speak to Sharon and was told she was out of the office but was assured that she would get the message. I sent Sharon an email to explain my extreme disappointment with everything so far and requested my return be uploaded ASAP. It was and she responded to let me know, but did not address my disappointment, or offer to fix it or even offer to call me. WOW! Nothing like offering great customer service.

Two weeks later, I get emailed that my Alabama Business Privilege Tax filing is due in 3 days. I paid Profit Wise to take care of this. I emailed Sharon to ask what the problem is. She explained that apparently the Alabama BPT site does not accept my bank as a form of payment and adds a screenshot in the email that includes my PII of social security number, EIN and bank account information. Apparently Sharon is unaware that email is clear text and can be intercepted by hackers to steal your identity...thanks, Sharon for being negligent and putting my information at risk! The screenshot clearly shows user error where Sharon put the account number in the bank name field and the bank name in the account number field...gee, I wonder why my bank information is not being accepted?

And if all of this wasn't enough, a few days later I discovered that Sharon and Jonathan made a HUGE mistake on both my and my husband's tax return by taking the capital gains from a house we sold last year and adding the full capital gains amount on both our taxes instead of splitting it 50/50 which resulted in a huge tax bill. When I tried to bring this mistake to Sharon's attention, she was rude, obnoxious and said she has zero intent to amend my taxes and told me to go elsewhere and pay someone else to fix her mistake. So much for work integrity.
