Irresponsible and Unprofessional – Do Not Use The Shrinkwrappers

I hired The Shrinkwrappers in Fall 2024 to shrink wrap my 1996 Mazda Miata for winter storage. They promised protection from snow, rain, and freezing temperatures. After speaking in detail with the owner, Dave Will, of Brookfield Connecticut, I felt reassured and went ahead. That turned out to be a huge mistake.

When I unwrapped the car in June 2025, I found standing water and widespread mold growth inside the car. The damage was extensive, requiring immediate professional mold remediation. When I started the car, the check engine light came on, possibly due to moisture-related engine damage. The wrap caused more harm than leaving the car unprotected ever would have.

I reached out to Dave Will the very next day—left two voicemails, sent a text, and an email. When he finally responded (via email only), he claimed he only checks his phone from September to January and told me the wrap should have been removed by now. Worse still, there were no instructions provided at installation—nothing in writing, no warnings, and no verbal guidance. The installers didn’t speak English and made no attempt to explain anything. When I reported the damage on June 5, Dave Will dismissed it with an email blaming “Mother Nature” and then completely ignored all my follow-ups.

This business shows zero responsibility or care for its customers. They are negligent, dismissive, and do not stand behind their work. I am now left with hundreds of dollars in damages and the burden of long-term issues with my vehicle.

Avoid The Shrinkwrappers at all costs. You will regret ever trusting them.
