Stonewell Bookkeeping Group Robert Reyna Used my company name and logo in a false review Corpus Christi TX

I received a text message on my business phone, inquiring about Stonewell Bookkeeping Group. The text stated that they wanted to know more about the company since I used their services. I figured it was a scam text and ignored it since I have never heard of Stonewell. About a week later I received a call that went to my voicemail about the same company and subsequently received an email stating that my company name and logo were used in a review of Stonewell on the company's website.

i checked the website and did indeed see my company name, logo, and phone number on the Stonewell website with a review I had never written. I contacted the caller, who was with a company located in my state of Washington. The caller informed me that their company information was used in a fraudulent review posted on Stonewell's website and wanted to know if I had used their services. I told her that I had never heard of that company and have my own accountant locally, not in Texas. I was also informed that the company had contacted someone by the name of Robert Reyna about the issue and he stated it was an error and would be dealt with. After my phone call, I went onto the Stonewell website with the intention of contacting them about the situation but could not get an email address without divulging personal information. I wasn't about to give them any more info so I found their contact info on the BBB website. I drafted a cease and desist letter and emailed it to them as well as sent it certified mail. I also reported them to the BBB.

The following week I received a notification that I had a one star review on my Google business page. It was from Robert Reyna. It stated "Horrible company that leaves false reviews. horrible services. please do not work with this company" Note, he was never a client and that review ruined my perfect 5 star rating on Google reviews.

We noticed an email from Robert that went to our spam (scam) folder where he demanded that we remove the BBB complaint or he would " leave a plethora of bad reviews not only on BBB but on all social networks"

We informed him that the BBB complaint was not visible on his BBB page and we had no control over that. When questioned about the theft of our intellectual property, he stated it was a mistake and not his fault. He continued to demand we remove the complaint. 

I then filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and am in the process of filing a complaint with the Texas State Attorney General's Office. I emailed him and notified him of my actions. His reply email was that he would not be bullied by me and if I didn't forget the situation and "knock it off" he would send me a cease and desist letter. Lol. 

He has removed my business logo from the review but just replaced it with another logo. No other change to the review. I went onto the Stonewell site and Google image searched the logos of the "hundreds of businesses " they service, and found no real businesses associated with the logos. (With the exception of 2 businesses that he owns). Additionally we searched the branch office locations and they come up as virtual offices shared by multiple companies.

To really get a look at Robert's character I would advise searching his name and read the replies on Facebook of his failed run for city council.
