The Manager Josh is a complete scammer who will steal your membership fees (430 a month had a higher priced package but reduced it) from you and just tell you to continue to roll them over into the next month so that he can continue to bill your monthly dues. So where’s the issue? The issue is that they’re understaffed and it’s almost IMPOSSIBLE for you to use all of your session in the timeframe (unless you have a lower tier package).

We have 12 credits per month and we (my Husband) and I have been splitting 6 per month. 12 credits = 3 visits a piece between my Husband and myself. So in a 30 day timeframe it is almost IMPOSSIBLE to book just THREE; 50 minute sessions. They ask you to book in 25 min increments, however 80% of the time the person you choose is not available to book a back to back session. This causes you to have to break down your session and book in 25 minute increments - which they will have possibly 1 appointment available per week (this also applies trying to book 4 weeks in advance).

We’ve supported this business consistently despite the lack of openings, however it became increasingly difficult to book once their app started shutting down while trying to book + even less openings as capacity increased. So this past Friday 6/25 is when it just went downhill. My Husband had a 50 minute session booked at 12:30pm that I was going to take. Josh, the scamming a*s owner CANCELLED the session and revoked future use of sessions that we’d ALREADY PAID FOR. He wasn’t happy with the fact that my Husband had placed a block on future charges - because he had been unable to get in contact with them (they don’t answer the phone AT ALL).

Don’t believe me- call right now. So now that he’s revoked the use of past appointments that would’ve normally rolled over (our billing is the 25th of every month, as long as you book your session BEFORE that day it’s how you roll them over. So anyway; I get to the StretchLab and am told that the session was cancelled by my Husband - although we already have the confirmation in hand. I learned shortly after that Josh had blocked us; and he watched me walk in and back out and never said a single word to me about what was occurring. So my Husband calls Josh - very upset because he’s thinking the session will be lost altogether and Josh proceeds to deliver the news that we are no longer members; etc.

My Husband tells Josh that he is stealing as it’s something that has already been paid for, and the conversation became intense. This is the kicker….. After blatantly STEALING money Josh calls the police on my Husband. A black man - who is only upset because of his shady business practice. And Josh lies and tells them that he has had his life threatened and he’s now fearful of this man. The El Segundo Police called my Husband - because at this point they’re ready to make an arrest because Josh has claimed he’s in fear. I can’t make this up.

In this political climate a business owner would call the police on a Black Man who has supported his business through several months of Covid when businesses were struggling and closing left and right. manipulative, business owner who makes false claims that can be detrimental to the life and livelihood of Black Men. Now imagine my Husband driving through El Segundo and getting stopped because of a false claim made by this business because he doesn’t want to find ways to amicably resolve conflict caused by his own business practice.
