We hired Matt Sutherland to fix our boat’s Mercruiser Smart Craft fuel gauges problem. He installed two new fuel senders. It cost us $400 for parts and labor.

The problem wasn’t solved. We tried to get him to come back out and address the problem, but every time we scheduled an appointment, he was a no show and didn’t even call. Finally we hired a certified Mercruiser mechanic who informed us that the wrong fuel senders had been installed and the wires weren’t even hooked up to one of the senders. We asked Matt Sutherland to take back the senders he had installed and refund our $400. He agreed to do that, but his check never came. After about 10 days he said he would send it again. It never came. Then he said if we don’t have his check by the following week, he would come over and give us cash. He never came over and then stopped responding to our requests altogether.
