35 years I dreamed of having a Martin guitar, never had enough money, had brain surgery, and after I recovered, I was finally ready, then I met Sweetwater, I bought a Martin, and no matter what I did it wouldn't stay tune, the neck was warped and the bridge wasn't gauged properly so the high E string would slide off the neck while playing.

I contacted them, they said they didn't have that model anymore, I chose another one like the one I had and they said it wasn't available until Aug. They already knew I was recording in June. I chose the only model left and they said Yes but you have to pay more. I was floored.

That was a couple of weeks ago. I sit hear today on my job depressed because after 35 years and building the courage to buy it, with PTSD, they sold me a defect and didn't even try to make it right, Sure they wrote a lot of dialogue to cover their butts, but nothing real.

I got my money back but the dream is gone. Thanks Sweetwater for destroying a life long dream. I got angry, who wouldn't, and now they don't even acknowledge me. They know they're wrong. I'm just one man against a machine, they have all the power and influence, all I can do is tell the story.

New guitar..-especially- from a company that says it takes great care in making sure products are perfecto when they go out the door...should not not need repair or anything when you get it. I think if you become a squeaky wheel they'll take care of the problem, they value their PR, it's the only thing that keeps them in bizness.

the pics look awful. if you put it on a creditcard, like Chase, they have a product complaint / refund policy, or I think they should have one. pehraps they could assist? don't give up on it, dude.

A new guitar

AUTHOR: Steve - (United States)

A new guitar should not need to be repaired. Those jerks told me to take it to a local luthier and get it fixed. Can you believe that? If I wanted a guitar that needed repairs why would I buy one new? Come on my get real

not impossible to fix that guitar

I know about dreams, have put some on hold myself to attend to a friend. Looking for a guitar in Chicago, Illinois I found a very local guy who's been repairing and building guitars his whole life. Got a great vibe from his website, want to share that; my take is he can fix your instrument or perhaps recommend someone in your area, he's a no-B.S. dead-serious musician.

Fellow's name is Geoff Benge, link to his website is www.chicagoguitarrepair.com/contact. Give him a call, send a message; I know how you must feel. Best wishes to you.
