We posted a job online they responded, we had 3 conversations on skype (Which we recorded) sent them an NDA and a Scope of work, they signed off on the project then asked for a 50% deposit (which was sent to them) then they attempted to do a bate & switch by trying to bump the price by several thousand.
We threaten to call our credit card company and do a chargeback if they didn't give us a refund ASAP! which they did.After looking further into this company they operate out of India, have a NY telephone number, a NY PO box & pretend to be an American company?
I am writing this to warn people about the bate & switch tactic that was used with me, I am sure I am not the only one, it seems very deliberate, 1st they tell you they fully understand your project, then they sign your NDA/scope of work, then ask you to send 50% deposit, then call & say there was a mistake they didn't quite understand what they were signing & now that they have had a chance to read it they can't do your project for the agreed upon amount and will have to charge you more money.
This company is a scam and they are perpetuating the stereotype that "most companies out of India are scams”
