I contacted “Eric Awad” real name Tarek Mohammed Awad who is the Owner of Texas Auto Care in San Antonio to Repair my Vehicle from an auto accident. I took my vehicle in to his shop, this was and insurance claim and they somewhat helped me thru the claim process . So I dropped my vehicle off to start work and my insurance company issued me the  check and I gave them the money to start to work, they told me about two weeks to finish. I did ask what it would cost me and “Eric” said he would do it for “insurance proceeds “ and “waive” my deductible, so I said cool, so two weeks passed and I started getting phone calls from my insurance company that Texas Auto Care was try to file some unnecessary and questionable insurance supplements because they needed more money becuase they found some “additional “ damage . So I called “Eric” and asked what was going on and he replied well it took more work than what we anticipated so we had to request for more money, but your car is done , come get it. So I go to pick my car up and I’m NO expert but the work was CRAP!  There was overspray, grit in the paint, missing parts , etc. So I confronted “Eric” and all he said was “ I’m the expert, what do you know? “ and got real confrontational and gave me excuses. Anyways, my Insurance paid him in full and I signed the completion of work cause I did not to deal with his bill and just wanted to be on my way. I get a call a few days later from “Eric” and he wanted to know where the rest of his money was? I said what money? You’ve been paid! He stated that I owed him for storage fees?!! I hung up, he called me back and said if I didn’t pay him that he was going to repo my car for an unpaid balance?!  At this point I contacted my attorney and my attorney contacted him and his business and sent a letter to him with copies of the insurance payments , receipts , etc . After my attorney did that I never heard from him again. I called the San Antonio Police and filed a report against him and I was told that there were multiple complaints against him, and previous chargers filed , that he is notorious for doing this ! Well after doing my homework , contacting former customers , contacting State Agengies , private investigators, and getting a copy of his criminal record ,  etc it turns out that “Eric” Tarek Mohammed Awad has a lengthy criminal record from doing this scam throughout the years, is on probation, has multiple lawsuits against him, leans , has been suspected of being involved in auto theft rings and it goes on and on. This guy is a scum bag, scam artist, criminal and a overall piece of human garbage .
