In November 2022, I applied for a €250,000 business loan with Finance Worldwide Limited (FWWLTD) to consolidate business debt and expand operations. The company presented itself as a professional finance firm based in Hong Kong, with official-looking documents and a clearly written transaction procedure.

I was required to pay multiple fees in order to process the loan:

  • Transaction Booking Fee: €4,550 (paid 24 Nov 2022)

  • Government Tax Charge: €6,215 (paid 16 Dec 2022)

  • Bank Charges: €8,915 (paid 29 Mar 2023)

All payments were sent from our verified business bank account in New Zealand to two banks in Mainland China: Shanghai Pudong Development Bank and Zhejiang Tailong Commercial Bank, with the same recipient listed: Taizhou Aolong Import and Export Co. Ltd.

Total Paid: €19,680 (approx. NZD 34,000)

Despite repeated assurances from FWWLTD that each payment would lead to the release of the loan funds, no funds were ever delivered. After the third payment, they introduced a fourth charge of €14,915 called a “delay charge,” which was never disclosed in the original contract or transaction procedure.

Red Flags:

  • The Deed of Agreement (DOA) was not provided until 2+ months after loan approval, only after repeated requests.

  • Each fee was presented as the “final step,” only for a new fee to appear after payment.

  • The Hong Kong business address listed does not exist.

  • The company is not registered in Hong Kong, and its domain is not listed with the Hong Kong Companies Registry.

  • The phone number is non-functional.

  • Documents received (including the CFO's passport) appear suspicious and may be forged.

Investigation and Actions Taken:

  • A police report was filed with the Hong Kong Police Department (Reference: ERC2505072040060)

  • Ongoing communication with:

    • Securities and Futures Commission (SFC)

    • Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA)

    • The Ombudsman Hong Kong

    • New Zealand Police and Inland Revenue Department (IRD)

    • Chinese Ministry of Public Security (via MOFCOM NZ Office)

  • Formal letter of complaint sent to multiple regulatory bodies.

  • Lawyers are consulted in Hong Kong and New Zealand. Legal action is pending.

Final Thoughts:
This company deliberately deceived us under the guise of providing international business funding. Over two years of our time and thousands of euros were lost, with devastating effects on our health and business operations.

If you're considering applying for a loan with FWWLTD, do not proceed.
They are not who they claim to be, and we have substantial evidence to prove unethical and likely illegal practices.
