TokMedia TikTok Marketing Group - Bait and Switch - Never Deliver Product Miami FL

I engaged TokMedia to create marketing materials and run ads on social media, particularly TikTok.  They run ads on the platform advertising, what if we came into your business, created all your marketing ads, and you only pay us when you make money.  They run a pretty convincing sales meeting where they disclose there will be an up front fee of anywhere from $2500-$3500 to pay the actors, create the ads etc. 

First red flag after signing was when I asked exactly how do they account for my sales to pay them -and was told there really isn't any accounting, it's an "honor system".  I thought, who would operate that way? Turns out the only business they are running is the sales pitch business, where they take your upfront fee, which for me was $3000+.   

Second red flag was all communication was to be moved to Slack, where I was expected to pay a monthly membership fee to continue there. 

Onboarding was a nightmare.  Suddenly the actors are unavailable and if I want ads- I'll need to make them myself. Then my video wasn't good enough, buy a new camera.  They produced a "script" that clearly showed they knew nothing about what my business was about or how it works, even though it was clearly explained in the first meeting. My videos were never used.  Then it was my responsibility to set up a new lead email.  My responsibility to set up a TikTok business account.  My responsibility to additionally fund this account so they could run ads.   My contact person didn't respond for months and then I find out they don't even work there anymore. I paid them to do this work! 

I asked for a full refund and was denied any kind of refund, them saying it's "non refundable" , so I started putting up some reviews of my experience online.  Suddenly, the owner was interested in making it right and called.  I decided to give them one last chance, and was set up with an online meeting with "their best guy" a few weeks out.  Guess what, he didn't show up.  

I again, asked for a full refund and was denied.  It is now my mission to protect as many people as possible by telling my story and reviews everywhere I possibly can.  They have removed their Google listing and reviews for a reason.  I have found countless others with the same story as well who are looking for solutions.  I have filed with the attorney general in Florida.   Be cautious of the numerous obviously fake reviews, you won't find those customers ads anywhere.
