Back in May, 2022, my husband and I needed to find a nice home and wanted to move back to Northern California.

We saw a home on almost 12 acres in Alturas, California.  This was at the beginning of June, 2022. We contacted United County Stevenson Realty in Alturas and dealt with an agent named Nadene B.  I expressed our interest in this home.  She was the listing agent.  I recall asking her if there was another agent in her office, who could represent us as buyers.  Nadene replied that she would be happy to represent both of us a Dual Agents.

We made a verbal offer on the home, and Nadene called her seller and the seller was happy with the offer and Nadene proceeded to write up the Purchase Contract, and Agent Relationship Disclosures - showing she was a Dual Agent for both buyer and seller.  Time was a bit short and the house was vacant - ready to move into.

We signed the Purchase Contracts and other documents - making this a Legal and Binding Offer.

I asked Nadene to take a video for us, and then Open the Escrow.  She did take the video a day or two later.  We were very pleased witht he video and she agreed to Open the Escrow.

About 2 days later, I was writing up the earnest money check to the title company.  Also I had called both the Home Inspector and Termite Company to try to arrange the inspections.

Then, back on June 9, 2022 or so, I received a FRANTIC PHONE CALL from the agent, Nadene.  She said, to my shock, THE SELLER CANNOT SELL HER HOME RIGHT NOW.  SHE IS HAVING PERSONAL PROBLEMS.

I found myself unable to speak.  I asked her DOES SHE WANT MORE MONEY?  Nadene failed to reply.  I asked her IS THE HOME BEING TAKEN OFF THE MARKET.  Nadene replied NO, IT IS GOING TO STAY ON THE MARKET.

NOTE TO READERS OF THIS REPORT:  After my story is done here, you will agree that THE HOUSE WAS STILL FOR SALE, BUT JUST NOT TO US - FOR AN UNKNOWN REASON.

I told this Nadene, that this is not fair to us as there is a Legal Contract.  Her reply was WELL NOTHING REALLY HAPPENED.

I tried calling 2 times to the Broker, Sandy Stevenson.  She failed to call me back.  I even sent 2 detailed e-mails to the Broker, but she also failed to reply.

About 2 or 4 weeks later, the home was sold to someone else paying a bit more money.  That home should have been taken off the market if indeed the seller was HAVING PERSONAL PROBLEMS AND COULD NOT SELL THE HOME AT THE TIME.

WHY WAS IT LEFT ON THE MARKET?   I CAN CONJECTURE NO REASON OTHER THAN THE REALTOR WAS COLLUDING THE THE SELLER NOT TO SELL IT TO US.

I tried calling several California attorneys in that area, but they did not seem to want to get involved. or had a Conflict of Interest.  Also, the one that did want to get involved wanted $10,000 upfront.  I did not know him and did not have the time to wait this out.  Our home in another state was under contract to sell

You see folks out there, most lawyers are General Practice lawyers, and they get business from realtors, drawing up deeds.  They certainly do not want to lost business by representing us.  

I did not know what to do, and we ended up another home, that really did not suit us.  It was hard to rent a home because we have 2 dogs.  Also we had alot of stuff to put in storage.

I did file a major complaint with the State of California - Real Estate Dept.  This was back in July, 2022.  However, to this very date, they did NOTHING.

Sure, the investigator, assigned to our complaint DID FIND SEVERAL VIOLATIONS OF STATE LAW,   The investigator told me our complaint was being sent to the Legal Dept.  This was back in April, 2023 - all this time.

The investigator gave me the name and number of the Dept. Attorney, who would be looking into this.  I called their office at least 5 times, but I never got an answer.

I did call the intake person at the California Dept of Real Estate since I could not reach the investigator, who claimed my complaint went to their legal dept.

The Intake person just told me that YOUR COMPLAINT IS STILL BEING INVESTIGATED AND THAT YOU WILL RECEIVE A LETTER.

Well, today, Is March 4, 2024, and to this very day, no letter has been received.

So, the agent at United Country Stevenson Realty got away with this.  The Broker got away with not helping us nor making any attempt to resolve this situation.  Real Estate Law was clearly violated here, but it is hard to get justice.

This is why I am taking the time to file this report, so that all of you looking at it will know that

Not all real estate agents are ethical

Lawyers are difficult to come by - especially in real estate agency matters.

State Government agencies, who are supposed to help the citizen, fail to do so.

A word to the wise is Trust No One in Real Estate that you do not personally know to be on your side.

From Looking at this Website, there is some comfort in knowing that we are not the only ones being screwed by Real Estate agents.

Well here is old FLINT - back again at it.  Stalking the posts of honest people out there, like myself, who happened to get a raw deal by a Real Estate Agency. NEWS FLASH.  Not all realtors and agencies are ethical.

They do break laws.  This is why the California Dept of Real Estate DID FIND VIOLATIONS OF STATE LAW.  Unfortunately, their process is so very slow and not easy to get any justice.

I WANT EVERYONE OUT THERE TO KNOW THAT MY REPORT IS A TRUE EXPERIENCE AND I STAND BEHIND IT 100%.  If this United County Stevenson Realty wishes to reply, they can.

However, I know, for a fact, that no one in this office is called FLINT.

This is a made up name of someone also calling himself,

RICK, IRV, COAST, AND JIM. Most likely the same idiot writing all this up.  I have been investigating this myself.

Myself, and 2 friends of mine has also posted true reports, but have also be harassed - WITHIN HOURS OF WRITING UP THE REPORT AND HAVING IT APPROVED TO BE ONLINE - by this FLINT.

Why is that, you might ask?  It seems this Flint, and other names he uses, is targeting me and now 2 friends of mine.

This all started back on December 25, 2023, when my friend wrote up a true experience report on East Iowa Realty - in which she was threatened by the Broker that the sellers of a home would SUE her if she tried to get out of the contract.  It did not matter to this broker, that the Home Inspection Report was BAD.  At that time, the person called himself, FLINT AND RICK.

So, I can conjecture, that the person, who is commiting a Federal Crime of Cyber Stalking is that Broker.

Especially because the rebuttal this FLINT AND RICK wrote up came in 1 day after the report was live.

May I remind you and anyone else, that the Rip Off Report website is for people, who have had bad experiences and were ripped off or otherwise cheated, by companies and alledged professionals.  Despite their best efforts, they were never given the justice they deserved.

So, this website and a few others like this one, are the only places, were a harmed individual can speak out the truth about their negative experiences.

These reports are basically REVIEWS about the company or business - that need to be told.

Some review websites out there, try to GHOST any negative reviews, because they only want HAPPY REVIEWS, and do not approve any report or review that is negative.

THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE FOLKS.

FLINT IS CLEARLY VIOLATING THE INTENT OF THE RIP OFF REPORT WEBSITE BY CONSTANT STALKING - WHICH IS CLEARLY AGAINST THE COMPANY RULES.

Go away Flint and the other names you call yourself.

 The seller did not want to sell the house to your for whatever reason. Unless you can prove it was because of your race, they have every right to do that and don't have to explain themselves. Perhaps the termite inspector found something and they didn't want to deal with it. Perhaps they didn't think you could obtain financing. Perhaps the other buyer was paying cash. In California, buyers often waive all contingencies and expedite the closing. If the seller got a better offer, nothing stops then from taking it. Unless you can prove some sort of damages, you are not going to get anything. The fact that you are not happy with the house you ended up buying is irrelevant. It's not even clear that you had a contract signed by both sides. The contract also has an arbitration clause so you can't go to court over it.
